** THIS TOUR HAS BEEN CANCELLED**
Tour Guides: Diane Lepage and Fenja Brodo
Location: Clyde Woods (northern end of Clyde Avenue - south of the Queensway - at Castle Hill Crescent). Plenty of parking.
Meeting Spot: At entrance to bicycle path.
Local Bus Route: #176 (on Merivale)
Spend an evening with Diane and Fenja as their share their passion for moths and other night-flying insects. Expect to be amazed.
A short five minute walk down a trail, off the bicycle path, will take us to the three sheets (with black lights) that will be set up to attract moths and other insects that are more easily seen after dark. All participants should have their own flashlight (headlights are excellent for this) to guide them between the sheets and then back out of the woods.
** Please bring insecticides and dress for the weather, and wear sturdy footwear (no sandals). This is a trail through the woods and in the dark protruding roots and rocks can trip you up. Except for the late hour, this is a grand outing for children.
